The Blue Whale by James

The blue whale is the biggest animal in the ocean. It is not a fish even though it looks fish shaped! It is a mammal. It is named ‘Blue” whale because of its gray blue in color.
It can grow up to 110 feet long and weigh 150 tons! It has a very big tail that flips up and down to move forward while it uses its wide flippers to turn.
A blue whale never eats other big fish! It only eats krill and eats only during the summer months. It has baleen in its mouth that lets water filled with krill go in and then the krill go into the stomach and the whale filters the water out. It breaths oxygen in the air through a blow hole on top of its head. It blows the water out from this whole just like a water spout.
The blue whale swims in the deep oceans all over the world. Blue whales are endangered. They are coming back from almost being extinct. People are now stopping their whale hunting and finding other sources of food.
Blue whale’s talk by sending sounds through the water.

Seahorses are cute!Luckily they are not endagerd.
A sea horses head is like a horse.it’s tail looks like a snake.It is not a fish, but a special animal that has bony plates outside its body .This is the skeleton.. They have no teeth or scales.
They do not swim like a fish but they move like they are standing up! The fins on their backs move to push them forward.

A sea horse wraps up it’s tail around a piece of seaweed and wait’s for it’s food.
It sucks up small sea animals like a vacuum cleaner.
Most sea horses live on small plants or fan corals on reefthe ocean.some sea horses live in under water nets from old fishing boats.
The mother puts the eggs in the dads pouch on its stomach. The dad waits for the baby sea horse to hatch out of the pouch.

SEA HORSES are very cute and after dolfins they are my favirote sea animals.

Jellyfish are very interesting !
A Jellyfish look like plastic trash floating in the sea and are shaped like umbrellas It is also shaped like a bell.
Jellyfish eat algae. Jellyfish catch algae with there tentecles. The animal it catches can not escape because the jellyfish parrelizes it. Jellyfish live in Tropicaland Arctic oceans. I think jellyfish are important to the world because it is a really strong and it is the only animal in the sea that can sting.
The most dangerous jellyfish is called the blue bottle and it is found in Australia you should stay away from jellyfish.

Manta Ray by Roshani

I chose the manta ray because they have interesting things about them. They have cool stuff like very long tail and they have spots in the back. Some are very cute! Some are mean looking. My animal has 2 fins like little sails on its tail. Many rays have an opening behind each eye. Manta rays eat Squids and clamps and fish. Manta Rays mostly live in the Eastern, Atlantic Ocean and Western Mediterranean sea. Many rays live in the sandy shallows at the sea’s edge. Manta ray are very amazing, cool and interesting. They have cool stuff in them.

I chose the megatooth because it is very big and it is extinct. Did you know that the megatooth,s tooth is as big as a adults hand? My animal looks like a whale shark but it is stronger then the whale shark. It grows about 65 feet long. The megatooth, s favorite foods are dolphins and blue whales. The megatooth used to live at the north Caroline in America. On the bottom of the ocean. You don’t want to get close to the megatooth because they are dangerous.

A Bull shark has a wide snout & a small
fin on its back.
A Bull shark will eat anything it can catch.
The Bull shark lives in saltwater seas and the coral reef.

I chose the Dolphins because it is like the cutest and playful animal to me in the rivers and oceans. Dolphins have to flippers. Dolphins have to tails flukes. Dolphins have a dorsal fin. Dolphins are mammals. Dolphins eat fish and squid. Most dolphins live in groups. Dolphins live in open water, fresh water and the rivers. Dolphins are fast swimmers. Dolphins are good at tricks. Dolphins can jump really high. They are my favorite animals.

I had interest of a dolphin because I can see that they are playful sea creatures and fast swimmers too so that’s why I chose it. Dolphins have a long snout. Dolphins have four fins to swim fast from predators. Dolphins are one of the most powerful swimmers in the world!! Dolphins eat squid and tuna fish. The wild dolphins jump to get fish sometimes. The dolphins snap their mouths really fast to catch fish. They catch about five or less tuna fish at one time. Dolphins live in oceans off the cost of America, Lombok and Srilangka. The pink dolphin lives in the Amazon River. The blue spotted dolphin lives in the tropical oceans. But most dolphins live in the coral reefs. A dolphin is very exiting animal to see in it’s free life out in the amazing big ocean’s.

Butterfly fish are really friendly fishes. They are also really cute and nice sea animals. A butterfly fish has a really flat and round body like a plate. Butterfly fish are all brightly color like butterflies. Butterfly fish are really beautiful sea animals. Butterfly fish eat sea worms and shrimp. Butterfly fish like to live in the ocean where a lot of other fish live. Butterfly fishes live in the coral reef, in shallow water. Butterfly fish are really cute and exiting sea animals to see and really nice to play with.

I chose the Megalodon because it is very big and long. A Megalodon can grow up to 65 feet. A Megalodon looks like a whale shark but bigger and stronger. Megatooth eats almost everything. The Mega tooth used to live in the ocean. Megaladon’s are very cool animals but now they are extinct.

The biggest shark in the world was called Mega tooth. Its scientific name is Megalodon.
It had teeth as wide as two hands! It was a “Super Predator” that ate other big fish like whales, dolphins, seals and any other tasty fish in the sea. It was longer than a bus and weighed as much as a bus. A baby Mega tooth weighed more than 500 pounds. An adult had 200 vertebrae. These fish are now extinct but their bones were found around shores of North Carolina, USA. Megalodon were a sting because the ice age. If it was alive to day it wood makes people not go to the beach.

A tiger shark is twice the size smaller than great white shark but did you know it is twice fiercer?
A tiger shark has many fins and it swims fast!
It is one of the creatures that eat each other!

A tiger shark has stripes on its body just like a tiger, that’s why it’s called a tiger shark. It looks like a black striped shark and some are yellow with brown stripes. The tiger sharks with brown stripes are called sand tiger sharks, they are much smaller.

A tiger shark eats: Fish, sea snakes, seals, squid, they also eat other sharks! Sometimes they even eat garbage! But when a tiger shark eats garbage it dies. A tiger shark will eat anything it will find!

A tiger shark lives in tropical and subtropical waters. Many tiger sharks live in Indonesia. Even though most waters are cool. Tiger sharks live in warm waters even as warm as a bath!

A tiger shark is a tropical shark and it is one my favorite animal(s), they also swim very fast. I also like them because they are striped.

I chose the jelly fish because a jelly fish stung me once a jelly fish sting so much!
What does your animal look like?
A jelly fish looks like. It looks like it is slimy. The top of a jellyfish is a body bell.
Ajellyfish has a mouth and a lot of weird tantacle.
What does a jelly fish eat? Small bits of algae.
Where does a jellyfish live? In the warm clear sallow ocean.
When it is jellyfish season watch out for jellyfish!

The Hag Fish by Dirk Cappetti

The Hag fish is very weird when it sees food it shoots’s slime. It has poison in the slime that it makes the fish die.

A Hag fish has no eyes but it has feelers to help find food.

A Hag fish likes to eat octopus.
A Hag fish likes to eat fish.
It will eat any dead fish or sick fish.
It sucks it food because it has no teeth.

A whale shark looks like a whale but its not, even though it’s called a whale shark. It has 2 lairs of teeth. A whale shark eats plankton, squid and other small fish. A whale shark lives in the warm tropical seas. The blue whale eats tiny animals called plankton since the blue whale is huge it eats millions of plankton.

Electric eels are dangerous cool and bad. You better watch out for electric eels!
Electric eels are long, slim, slimmy and wiggly.
Electric eels eat frogs and fish.
Electric eels live in warm waters of tropical oceans.
Watch out for electric eels one touch you could die!
